Rx7 ¼ Mile for 3rd Gens

I took my bone stock ‘ninety four touring model to the drags last night for the primary time. I have Dunlop D40-M2 tires, stock size. It was sixty degrees out, and my best run was 13.forty nine @ 102.12mph. After it heated up and I was creating pass after pass, it slowed to thirteen.80’s at a hundred-101mph. My best 60 ft. time was one.842". I was shifting at 7200rpm. Can someone tell me if these times are normal for our cars in totally stock kind? I thought it might be a tad slower. May it's because the engine is broken in quite well currently(50,00zero miles)? Now a minimum of I even have a good baseline to reference to when doing modifications. Rx7

Congratulations!!!! Those are very smart numbers for a stock automotive! The reason your car is running smart numbers is that A) you're making good power for a a hundredp.c stock motor as your 102 MPH indicates and B) a 1.84 sixty foot time is terribly, terribly good for street tires!!! Specially considering this is the first time you have taken the automobile out there! Now you wish to start modifying!!!Rx7

As so much as I understand I have the best ET ever in a very stock third gen at thirteen.36 at one hundred and five mph. The majority of people are running thirteen.seven to fourteen.two. Unless you’re an extraordinarily sensible driver you’re not going to hit 12’s by merely adding tires. 13.49" et in bone stock ‘94 touring, and happy with it. Rx7

The biggest issue can be driver by an extended shot. From what I even have seen myself or Brooks, now that he has a ton of apply could most likely beat cars together with your level of mods in a very stock automobile. It looks to make up to a half second or additional in the times I see. If your asking what may an optimal driver with your automobile run, i.e.: what's your automotive really capable of I would take an informed guess and say a mid to lower 12. Maybe twelve.3 or so. If your going for your initial drag race I suppose you’ll hit higher twelve’s to lower 13’s. Either the area just got smaller or my head got larger. Mazda Rx7

Mazda RX-8 Renesis hydrogen car may very well be the first hydrogen car to hit the showrooms in 2008. According to Mazda, the RX-8 rotary dual-fuel gasoline-hydrogen car (or something similar) may just be what the showrooms ordered as the first of its kind, ushering in a new era of hydrogen technology.
